Laid Off Due to COVID-19? There May Be Relief

“Temporary wage replacement” is available to Florida residents who have been laid off by their employer due to COVID-19 concerns. This is offered through the Reemployment Assistance Center with Florida’s Department of Economic Opportunity.

You can receive state assistance if you meet the following criteria:

  • You were laid off for an extended period of time without pay due to COVID-19.
  • You are quarantined by a medical professional or government agency.
  • You are caring for an immediate family member diagnosed with COVID-19.
