The Escambia Amateur Astronomers Association will be starting free public gazes on Pensacola Beach and at Fort Pickens soon.


Here are the list of dates scheduled so far;

 

February 25th at the Hurlburt Field Sound Side Picnic Area,

 

It's off Hwy 98 on the right, about 3/4 mile past the Main Gate as people head towards Mary Esther from Gulf Breeze/Navarre.

The gate will open at 5:00 PM and the event is scheduled to run from 5:30 PM to 10:00 PM

This event is hosted by the Hurlburt Field Base Library

 

 

On Pensacola Beach at the Casino Beach Performance Pavilion,

All gazes are scheduled for both Friday and Saturday, weather permitting and scopes will be set up around sunset;

 

March 30-31          July 27-28

April 27-28             Aug 24-25

May 25-26             Sept 21-22

June 22-23            Oct 19-20

 

 

At Fort Pickens, in the Battery Worth parking area on Friday nights from sunset to 10:00 PM;
