Smokin’ in the Square is an annual Kansas City BBQ Society (KCBS) sanctioned competitive barbeque event held in historic Seville Square in Pensacola, Florida. This year’s competition will be held March 2nd and 3rd, 2012 and will host more than 55 professional and backyard BBQ teams competing for prize money and the title of “KCBS State Champion of Florida”.

The event draws judges, competitors, and over 25,000 people from the local community to watch the competition and sample a variety of excellent barbeque. There will be local vendors, arts and crafts and live entertainment throughout the event.

Smokin’ in the Square is a fund raising event organized by the Knights of Columbus in Milton, Florida supporting local charities, including Manna Food Pantries and the Joyce Goldenberg Hospice Inpatient Residence.

The event promises excellent food, entertainment and a good time in beautiful Seville Square.
