Kaboom is THREE days of FUN in 2008. Friday July the 4th features one of the biggest and best fireworks displays on the coast. Produced by Fun Coast Promotions, this spectacular fireworks extravaganza will take place over Santa Rosa Sound at 9pm. Please click on map above to see exact location!
“2007 was a huge success thanks to the Pensacola Beach Chamber and the many beach businesses that stepped up to make Kaboom a reality. This year our goal is to make Kaboom bigger and better---a 3 day event for everyone to enjoy said Doug McAllister, President of Fun Coast Promotions.” Special thanks goes out to our Title Sponsor---The Grand Marlin” a marina/restaurant/yacht brokerage that will be a crown jewel to the beach once it’s built at the foot of the Bob Sikes bridge. We would also like to thank The Santa Rosa Island Authority and Mr. Buck Lee for their support and guidance. Once again the Pensacola Beach Chamber has been instrumental to insure the success of Kaboom. THE TREASURE OF CAPTAIN BLACKWATER BONES AWAITS!
The treasure of the infamous pyrate Captain Blackwater Bones is hidden out there somwhere, and, as everyone knows, pyrate treasure belongs to him that finds it. Tune in to Soft Rock 94.1 Monday June 30th through Thursday July 3rd each day at 10:20 am and 1:20 pm as we give out clues to the location of the treasure. Figure out the clues, and claim your treasure. Check back here each afternoon as we'll post the previous clues to help you in your treasure hunt.
Here are the clues so far...
1. It was a Hard Scrabble up the banks that day,
as Caroline Led the way,
to the girl who wanted to help and may help you,
but only on the fourth day
2. Burning bright, a cold winters night
if you seek me treasure, you must feel no fright
as your assurance of the location
is hidden within the Knights
3. As you lurk around smokey corners and barge across streets,
catch a Blind Tiger and sample his heat
Ask him the difference between one hundred and two
for he will recall the tale of the county brew
4. One hundred twenty four Doughboys proudly marced off into the frat,
when the town was nineteen K's short, it created such disarray
Make sure to focus and search the Exchange, if you happen to miss it, you're out of range
If you havn't a clue and sensing defeat, go find the girl and insist that ye meet
5. If you're willing to search high and low for me loot,
make sure your perception isn't to broad although you'll need your walking boots
Always remember but don't let it hinder,
that W.D.C. held the vision to me treasures splendor
6. I began to feel hungry as I searched for me plot,
Urquhart sold me some olives that really hit the spot
